Cinn-ful Peaches
Ingredients:
4 ripe peaches, halved
2 tbsp ground cinnamon (I used Ceylon)
2 tbsp light brown sugar
2 tbsp salted butter, melted
1 tbsp salted butter
Instructions:
Mix the cinnamon, brown sugar, and melted butter together while the butter is still warm. This will help the sugar melt into butter.
Over a medium high heat, add 1 tbsp of butter to a medium sized skillet.
Apply some of the brown sugar butter to each peach half.
Now you will cook the peaches flesh side down for three minutes or until they begin to lightly brown. Turn them over.
Brush any of the leftover brown sugar glaze over the peaches and cook for two minutes.
Remove from heat and plate. I added almonds and two small spoonfuls of vanilla ice cream along with my peaches.
You could totally flambé these peaches with a nice bourbon for an extra layer of flavor.
