On October 19th, 2025, I flew back to Texas to serve as a witness in the case of The State of Texas vs. Zachary Pfluger. As one of the victims in this case, I navigated through so many thoughts. What resolution was I seeking? How would I process seeing him for the first time since 2021?
“the good. the better.” (Part 1)
The 31st will be the first year since I was involved in the shooting. My life has changed a bit since then. One of the biggest things (or boundaries) that I have needed to set is being alone with white men.
“persona(s)” - Part 2
As I moved into my thirties, I often asked myself about the legacy that I wanted to leave. Even after seeing their failures and successes as a kid, I hoped that one day I would have a fraction of the influence that they have had. One thing that I was not ready for was my pain from failures.
